5.3.12. Main malfunctions of diesel system of injection
GENERAL INFORMATION

Before to find out malfunctions of system of injection, the following conditions have to be satisfied:

  – a mistake exception at start;
  – availability of fuel in a tank;
  – whether as it should be engine;
  – whether the battery is charged;
  – whether the starter on the required turns rotates.

Prevention

If fuel pipelines are removed, they have to be in advance cleared by method of cold cleaning.

REASON
ELIMINATION METHOD
The engine is not got or started badly
There is no preliminary incandescence of the engine
To check system of preheat.
There is no tension on the electromagnetic locking valve of supply of fuel
To connect the device of control of tension to the valve. The light-emitting diode has to light up, otherwise find a rupture of a wire and eliminate.
The electromagnetic locking valve is faulty
To check durability of installation and contact to the case. To alternately switch on and off ignition, the valve at the same time has to click.
The fuel supply system is faulty
To check fuel supply.
The fuel-supply lines bent, littered, leaky, cracked
To clean fuel-supply lines.
The fuel filter is littered
To replace the fuel filter.
Ventilation of a tank is blocked. The fuel filter in a tank is littered
To clean.
Nozzles are faulty
To check nozzles, in turn to release cap nuts, checking operation of cylinders.
The moment of the beginning of giving is not adjusted
Began to check the moment giving, to adjust.
Faulty TNVD
To install the new pump.
Failures of operation of the engine on single turns, at start
Fuel hoses on the fuel pump and on the fuel filter are weakened
To replace fuel hoses, to fix by collars, to tighten hollow bolts.
The fuel supply system is faulty
To check fuel supply.
The fuel-supply lines bent, littered, leaky, cracked
To clean fuel-supply lines.
The fuel filter is littered
To replace the fuel filter.
Ventilation of a tank is blocked. The fuel filter in a tank is littered
To clean.
Nozzles are faulty
To check nozzles, in turn to release cap nuts, checking operation of cylinders.
The moment of the beginning of giving is not adjusted
Began to check the moment giving, to adjust.
Faulty TNVD
To install the new pump.
Fuel consumption is too high
The air filter is polluted
To replace a filter element.
The fuel system is untight
To visually check all fuel-supply lines (giving, returnable, injection), the fuel filter and TNVD.
The return pipeline is littered
To pump over air the return pipeline from the delivery pump to the fuel tank. To replace a throttle in a hollow bolt of the return pipeline.
The moment of the beginning of giving of TNVD is not adjusted
Began to adjust the moment giving.
The control lamp of system of preheat does not burn
The glow lamp on a guard of devices is faulty
To replace a lamp.
