6.3. Accumulator

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The accumulator is located on the left side of a motive compartment.
2. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug.
3. Remove a casing of the burned-through crossing points if it is necessary and disconnect the plus plug of the accumulator.
4. Turn off a bolt and remove a fixing clip of the accumulator. Remove the accumulator from the car.

Installation

Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal. Grease with technical vaseline of the plug of the accumulator before connection of wires.

THE ORDINARY ACCUMULATOR AND THE ACCUMULATOR DEMANDING SMALL MAINTENANCE

Check

It is recommended to check the specific density of electrolyte each three months for accumulator charging definition.

Check electrolyte density in each section of the accumulator. If the specific density of electrolyte between sections differs more, than on 0,040, the accumulator needs to be replaced.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
The accumulator does not demand a dolivka of electrolyte and check of its density. For check of a condition of the accumulator the indicator serves.

Charging

At accumulator charging temperature of electrolyte should not exceed 37,8 °C.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Force of charging current has to make 3,5–4 Ampere. It is necessary to continue charging until the specific density of electrolyte does not increase within 4 hours.
2. Also for accumulator charging it is possible to use the charger for continuous recharge of the accumulator with a current of charging of 1,5 Amperes. It is possible to leave such charger included for the night.

THE ACCUMULATOR WHICH IS NOT DEMANDING MAINTENANCE

Charging

Charging of this type of accumulators demands more time, than charging of ordinary accumulators. Exercises need to be done at a voltage of 13,9-14,9 Volts, current of charging should not exceed 25 Amperes.
