GENERAL INFORMATION

For repair of the ABS system and protivobuksovochny system it is recommended to address experts.

Not to damage chains and elements of systems, always disconnect the socket of connection of an electronic control unit before carrying out repair.

THE HYDRAULIC MODULATOR, EARLY MODELS WITH THE ABS 3-CHANNEL SYSTEM 2-SH OR 2-SH/TC

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove a tank cap with brake fluid and close a mouth a polyethylene film.
3. Remove a tank of system of the hydraulic booster of steering. Remove ABS electronic control unit.
Models with the 4-cylinder engine
4. Disconnect hydraulic tubes from the modulator. Turn off fixing screws and remove the heat-shielding screen.
Models with the 6-cylinder engine
5. Disconnect the top hydraulic tubes from the modulator. Turn off fixing screws and remove the heat-shielding screen.
6. Disconnect the lower hydraulic tubes.
All models
7. Disconnect a weight wire, turn off fixing nuts and remove the modulator.

Installation

Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove a protective guard from below of a motive compartment.
3. Remove the heat-shielding screen sideways of the hydraulic modulator.
4. Remove a tank of system of the hydraulic booster of steering.
5. Turn off the fixing screw and disconnect the socket of connection of an electronic control unit of ABS.
6. Disconnect brake tubes from the main brake cylinder.
7. Turn off nuts of connections and disconnect six hydraulic tubes from the modulator.
8. Remove the modulator from a fixing arm.

Installation

Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT OF ABS/OF PROTIVOBUKSOVOCHNY SYSTEM, EARLY MODELS WITH THE ABS 3-CHANNEL SYSTEM 2-SH OR 2-SH/TC

Remove a casing of an electronic control unit, disconnect the connection socket, turn off fixing bolts and remove the block.

Installation

Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.

SYSTEM PROTIVOBUKSOVOCHNA SWITCH

1. Pick up the switch by means of the small screw-driver and remove it from the dashboard.
2. Disconnect the socket of connection of the switch.

ABS SENSORS OF FORWARD WHEELS

1. Disconnect the connection socket, turn off a fixing bolt.
2. Remove the sensor from a fixing arm.
